Thanks, Amy, I enjoyed your blog, too! It's always nice to meet new people through this venue. And your comment over at Musings of a Christian Psychologist (I'm guessing that is how you found my blog) gave me some things to mull over.

I’m a trepid new blogger who finds it hard to say things in as few words as possible, when more words do just as well :) , or even better.

Oh, I do resemble that remark.

I am also addicted to saying things in corny ways, and turning what others say into corny things they didn't intend, i.e. puns. One of my professors in grad school (who was not a native speaker of English) would hear my puns and often not get them. One day he had the audacity to accuse me of having lexarrhea.

Julie,
I don't think it's weird at all. I haven't figured it out yet, but even though the internet is a scary place to think out loud, it is a nice and freeing context as well.
I love your comments--any form I get them!

Glad to see one of your first blogs is about your favorite books and authors! I love it!

I also like that I can leave comments-- in this context, I think I feel more like I can just say something off the top of my head than I do in an e-mail (slightly weird, I know).
